Complementa, the new in situ tool

We are very pleased to announce the new tool Complementa is now available to CAPFITOGEN users.

Complementa is the first developed tool from the set of three tools to support in situ conservation of plant genetic resources. This tool is designed to obtain complementarity analysis (by cells or pre-defined areas) and coverage analysis for protected areas networks.    Such analysis will help on decision-making process on which zones containing landraces or crop wild relatives should be considered as future protected areas for efficient conservation or to determine the degree of protection provided by existing protected areas networks. Additionally Complementa can support optimized germplasm collecting activities indicating where to find greater taxa richness in a reduced area to explore. Complementa is now available with CAPFITOGEN toolkit and can be downloaded from here.
